Metin Tabalu has got his bachelors degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Sabanci University, and masters in Operations Management from the Middle East Technical University (METU), he also got Masters in Business Administration degree at Stanford University Graduate School of Business with an Alfred Sloan Scholarship.

Upon his graduation from Stanford he worked as CFO and Vice President of Operations for Bardan International and Digital Network Operations center based in Miami, Florida.

He has led the strategy, R&D and communications functions of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) as Deputy General Manager, an organization having 100,000 active exporter members across 26 sectors. At TIM, he launched the first countrywide innovation development program (InovaLig) of Turkey with Kearney to leveraging their IMP3rove Academy for the EU.

He managed the FP&A department for $15 bn flag-carrier Turkish Airlines, which is one of top-5 on the World in network coverage, where he launched the executive reporting suite offering real-time analysis for top management. Within Turkish Airlines group, he also held responsibilities on the Technical Maintenance division by initiating ACE/Continuous Improvement for a $180 m Greenfield Engine Center JV with Pratt & Whitney (the second-largest engine manufacturer on the World).

He also launched and lead the Digital Transformation team for one of the top aerospace manufacturers of EMEA region. Previously, he also worked as a Senior Associate at the Corporate Strategy and Planning Department of Sabanci Holding, a $20Bn conglomerate having diversified portfolio of companies in Banking, Services and Manufacturing sectors.

He has advised various tech startups in USA and Europe as well as 40+ medium and large scale enterprises such as Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, Teleperformance etc for Strategy, Corporate Transformation, Digital Transformation, Financial Planning & Analysis.

He is an avid traveler, guitar player and a former team member in Physics and IQ Olympiads in the national level.
